Come, Come, Ye Saints: Alberta – 1887

“Come, Come, Ye Saints – 1887” is a reader’s theatre script of words and music written and performed in 1987 in Lethbridge Alberta to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the arrival of “Mormon” pioneers in southern Alberta Canada. Written and compiled by SMSmith, the script is mostly based on the writings of Jane Woolf Bates, who was part of the first wagon company that made the journey from Utah, USA to Cardston, Alberta, Canada in June 1887. She was a girl of 13 at the time.
